Check the directory C:\Users\ and see if your old username is there. Windows does have a reinstall option that doesn't wipe your data. As someone who does do troubleshooting, reinstalling windows by wiping the drive is very drastic. I have dual monitor setup and my display is now scuffed wherein my first display (a laptop) takes 50% of the left screen size starting from the bottom of the second monitor but now moving mouse pointer anywhere above it in my second monitor also jumps the mouse pointer to the first monitor.Ī minor fault that might assist? However it seems to have caused my taskbar to have various issues which may or may not be due to the windows update? I have faced the same issue, I have uninstalled the latest quality update and it fixed the flashing and let my computer run.
